Well, it's good to see alternate access to elite missions, finally, except: the way it's written, it's temporary. So much for them sticking to promises. (Unless this is just a test...)

It's probably a test, they'll see what happens if everyone has access, and they'll decide what to do later.

It's VERY cool, nonetheless. As for the noobness abundant, I say: guildmates ftw!

This is bad, very bad.

I normally play Elite Missions as my Ritualist, as a Ritual Lord (since, well, I wrote the damn guide on how to play one and I can play it better than most HoH teams. )

However, I've probably played Urgoz....maybe 10 times or so total with PuGs (since I'm not in a guild anymore (due to the poetic irony that everyone in my previous guild/alliance was unskilled), finding a good group is quite difficult.)

Out of those 10 or so times...only ONE group made it past the first few rooms...and only 2 people besides me in the group spoke English.

Every other PuG has W/Mos with Frenzy and Mending, with no Glads Defense, Monks without Heal Party, Nukers without Meteor Shower, Renewal or Echo (and use Fire Storm/Searing Heat), and so on.

Now the the Elite Mission is available to EVERYONE (why the heck are they putting the NPC in Kaieng Center?), there will be even more bad players. It's going to be impossible to find a skilled PuG.

This event is likely a test to see the popularity of opening the Elite Missions to everyone. (think PVPX).

Anyways, if you need a Ritual Lord, please, for the love of Grenth, invite me. (Syria Metaphysical)

it's for a weekend... no reason to complain. it's for fun and you've known for a long time there would be alternate access so this shouldn't be a shocker.

This is really cool but at the same time its really stupid. I can't stand to do these long ass missions anymore because there is always leavers and err7s. If people didn't get err7 I would be happy. I have only err7 about 3 times since i got guild wars and that was when it came out, but other people that have not as decent connections have problems doing long missions without err7. I don't think its fair to them.

Anet hasn't failed to show us something with surprise in these events like adding the guildwars shop. So Im guessing they might add the rejoin function when this event starts. If this happens then great. More power to everyone and a BIG THANKS to Anet. If not then a lot of people are going to get err7 and get really pissed off because they have a chance to get double the loot and can't because there is no rejoin function.

oh well

I'm enjoying these weekend events. Way to keep it interesting , A-Net.

Truth is, though, I have my tank and monk permanently camped in the Deep as it is. Done Warren a few times, takes too darn long. I greatly prefer the Deep. So this event won't make much difference to me.

They are doubling the rare drops for one weekend. Relax people. For those that don't go, it gives them a chance at uberloot. For people like me, it is only saving me 3 times through the mission. The drops are double the frequency, not double the mods. So chances are, we will still get crap, with the occasional gem.

If I can get a chance to play a bit of GW this weekend, I know what I'll be doing. I have yet to do either elite mission, so I wonder what it is I should do to prepare for it.

Why are people complaining? Anet is trying to do something nice, fun and exciting for us, but people are moaning about noob PuGs and flooded markets. How about a "Thanks Anet!"
